James is graduating this May and is incredibly excited to attend the University of Denver this Fall. I’ve known his family for about 4 years now, and have watched this guy grow into a wonderful young man. He is incredibly polite, a super athlete and has a killer smile (as you can see). I truly enjoyed taking his Senior photos and hanging out with him and his Mom for the day. Senior Portraits are kinda my jam. Take a gander at a few favorites from his Senior Portraits in South Austin.

This family… I have been photographing them over several years now. It began with Taylor and Warren’s wedding. Soon after followed baby bump photos when Warren Junior was on the way, and I got to capture him as a newborn as well. Over the next couple of years I was happy to capture several portraits of this sweet little family around the holidays. And now I am sitting here in awe of how gorgeous our second maternity session together was. I cannot wait to meet baby number 2, who I am sure will be a little angel. And how gorgeous is Taylor’s baby bump?!? I can’t stand it. Watching families grow over the years is such a gift. It’s really special to me that I get to be a part of people’s lives in such a big way and grow along with them. Thanks so much to all of my loyal clients and friends for taking this journey with me!

I love photographing families. Every one of them is so unique and has it’s own dynamic… and each family is beautiful. I love capturing special moments that are filled with joy and movement. But more importantly, my clients love having their beautiful images to hold onto forever. The importance of existing in photos is real. Some may consider it a luxury or something that is not a necessity, but I disagree. I sit looking at this recent family session, little Rose is only 6 months old and her parents saw how quickly she was growing so they wanted to capture imagery of them with their daughter before she got her first teeth. She cut a tooth THE NEXT DAY after we captured these sweet images. I can imagine little Rose looking at these photos when she is 10 years old, and again when she is turning 16. I see her showing them to her significant other one day, maybe when they are in the midst of planning a wedding. And I see her being so happy she’s able to show these images to her own children one day. And how much joy it will bring her parents to look at these once Rose is grown with a family of her own. To look back on the history of where this little family came from. That’s just a little tidbit from me on why it is beyond important to have family photos taken over the years. One thing is for sure, you would never regret having such images, and they will only gain value as every day passes. Thanks to this lovely little family for allowing me to capture them at such a joyous time. It was truly wonderful to see you and your joy, and capture it forever in this collection of photographs.
