CELEBRATE SENIOR YEAR WITH BEAUTIFUL PORTRAITS | GALVESTON PHOTOGRAPHER

Senior year is a milestone, a time of big dreams, and an unforgettable chapter in life. Capturing this moment with a senior portrait session is about more than just photos—it’s about telling your story. I recently had the absolute joy of photographing Brianna at the beach in Galveston, and I can’t wait to share their stunning photos!

Senior portraits celebrate you—your unique style, personality, and accomplishments. This is a once-in-a-lifetime moment, and portraits capture it in a way that you can look back on for years to come. They’re not just for you, either—these images become cherished keepsakes for your family and a way to share your excitement with friends as you step into your next adventure.

Whether you’re in Houston, Galveston, or the surrounding areas, senior portraits are the perfect way to mark this incredible season of life. Brianna plans to attend the Baylor University and pursue a career as a neonatal nurse.

As a photographer with over 15 years of experience, senior portraits are one of my favorite session styles to capture. There’s something so inspiring about working with incredible graduating seniors who are at such an exciting crossroads. Each session is a collaboration to highlight your personality and style. Plus, the creative possibilities are endless, especially when we choose the perfect location, wardrobe, and have a blast working together.

The beach offers a mix of relaxed vibes and stunning natural beauty. Whether we’re catching golden-hour sunlight, using the sand and surf as a textured backdrop, or incorporating the wide-open sky, the beach provides a setting that feels timeless, elegant, and fun. It’s a space where you can let loose and feel totally at ease, which makes for amazing photos.

If the beach isn’t your thing, don’t worry—there are tons of other options for great locations! From urban cityscapes in Houston to lush parks, scenic landmarks, or even a few natural light studio spaces, we can talk about what makes the most sense for you and your style. Your session should feel like you, and I’m here to help you find the perfect backdrop to bring your vision to life.

One of the highlights of my senior sessions is that you get three wardrobe changes to truly express yourself. Here’s how I recommend styling your looks:

Look 1: Everyday Classic Style
This outfit reflects your day-to-day personality—something you’d wear to hang out with friends or go to a movie. Think of it as the “you” your friends know best. A classic looks makes a great option here. Something that will NEVER go out of style. Think jeans and a white t-shirt, like Brianna opted for. This look works great at the beach.

Look 2: A Dressier Option
A flowy maxi dress or something with interesting textures and layers can add movement and elegance to your photos. Brianna chose a beautiful soft pink dress taht looked amazing with her skin tone.

Look 3: Wildcard
This is where you get to think outside the box! Maybe it’s a bold, fashion-forward look, a nod to your school pride (like a letterman jacket or cap and gown), or something cultural that represents your heritage. Want to bring in a playful vibe? We can even incorporate a fun theme, like your favorite restaurant or hobby.

Wardrobe tips for stunning Senior Portraits :

  • Solid colors or muted earth tones. They photograph beautifully and allow you to shine.

  • Play with textures and layers. A mix of fabrics, accessories, and thoughtful styling adds depth and interest to your images.

  • Consider the location. Carefully choose outfits that complement and make sense based on the location and backdrop.

  • Fit matters! Make sure your clothes fit well and are steamed for a polished look.

  • Variety is key. Choose looks that show different sides of your personality for a well-rounded gallery.

Your senior year deserves to be celebrated in style, and a beach senior portrait session in Galveston—or any of the amazing locations around Houston—is the perfect way to do it. From laid-back, casual vibes to elevated editorial looks, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

HAIDYN | AUSTIN SENIOR PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER

Haidyn! First of all, let me start by saying I am obsessed with the name Haidyn for a girl. Absolutely love it. This young lady was as kind and enjoyable as she is beautiful. Haidyn, her Mom and I toured campus to get some shots with all of the gorgeous architecture, and then ended up in a field at an abandoned church. It didn’t look like much to the naked eye, but I knew come sunset, it would be magical. Thank goodness my clients trusted me!

Miss Haidyn had all the right wardrobe choices and her hair and makeup were perfection for photos. It also helped that she is super photogenic. I don’t think I took a single “bad” photo of her.

Haidyn is graduating from Hendrickson High School this Spring, and plans to go into nursing, hopefully something to do with babies. So sweet. Haidyn said she really loves school and is sad to see it come to an end… but if she goes into nursing I’m sure there will be a lot more school in her near future. She’s graduating after doing 4 years of cheer, and she also said that she can’t live without her family and dogs.

Best of luck in the future Haidyn! I know you’ll do great things.

AUSTIN SENIOR PHOTOGRAPHER | ANN ON SOUTH CONGRESS

Beautiful Ann came to me for Senior photos this Fall. October is one of my favorite times to do Senior Graduation Portraits in Austin, TX. The weather has started to cool, but the scenery is still alive and green. We had a great time bopping around South Congress and Zilker Park for her session. I love her joyful smile and kind heart. Congrats on this exciting time, Ann! Here are a few favorites from her Senior Portraits.

AUSTIN SENIOR PORTRAITS | DYLAN

I captured Dylan’s Senior Portraits in and around the South Congress area in Austin, TX in May 2020. In the middle of the COVID19 Pandemic. It was and is such a strange time, to be graduating, to be around other people during “quarantine,” to be working, to be taking photographs of someone wearing a mask, because it was part of what was (and still is) happening at the time.

I know Dylan’s family and captured his sister’s Senior Portraits just a few years ago. We even used a few of the same areas for her session. But ultimately these photos have their own unique feel! And I had such a fun time with Dylan and his sweet Mama.

But Dylan’s session was completely different. The entire feel. Staying far away from people, having limited options for the shoot, and also… he happens to look SO MUCH like his sister! Literally the guy version of her. But it was also fun and different because it felt so nice to be doing something “normal” during such strange times! And I love capturing Senior Portraits for guys! I’m not sure why, but I don’t get to do portraits for as many graduation guys as I do for the ladies. I always love it, and I hope to do more. So if you’re a Senior GUY graduating from High School or College, hit me up!

Here just a few favorites from Dylan’s Senior Portrait session in Austin!

CAITLYN'S SENIOR PORTRAITS | GRADUATING DURING A PANDEMIC

Graduation season is usually full of tradition : caps and gowns, parties and celebrations, ceremonies and maybe even trips or vacations.

Then, 2020 happened. This graduation season was unlike any other as seniors celebrated their milestones amid the COVID-19 pandemic. I felt for these young men and women as they watched so many things they expected to happen simply get cancelled, one after another after another. So many questions they faced during what should be an exciting time, that truly has enough questions all on its own without the country or world, for that matter, being “shut down.”

But this class is strong. I photographed many high school seniors this year, and each of them had such strength and peace about the issue. Yes they were uncertain, yes they were disappointed in missing out on proms and countless other events and celebrations, like being able to walk across the stage for their commencement ceremony. But they all were going with the flow and didn’t seem to let it get to them. I have so much more respect for this class after talking with the seniors who have gone through this unprecedented experience.

Beautiful Caitlyn is just one of those amazing seniors who graduated in the midst of COVID-19. She graduated from Reagan High School and will attend UTSA and study Nursing.

Class of 2020. Keep your head up, this is a unique experience that only you will be able to tell. I know you will tell it well.
